Terms of service

1. What DealMeIn is

DealMeIn lets poker clubs run their tournaments: hosts direct live tournaments with the clock and blind structure from the console, while players sign up, follow the scoreboard and track their stats in the app.

The service operator is Atop AS (Norway). All references to “we”, “us” or “DealMeIn” in these terms mean Atop AS. The service is a public beta, provided as-is with no service-level agreement and no uptime guarantee.

2. Beta

The core features are free. We may change features, pause access or end the beta with reasonable notice — via the in-app About screen or by email. Beta access does not grant any entitlement to a future version of the service. We will give notice before the beta ends so you can export your data.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Basic is free. Premium is an optional monthly subscription for club owners with extended capabilities (more members, the league system, email notifications and member role management). During the beta, Premium may be offered free or at a reduced price; price changes are announced in advance.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — only a reference to the customer and subscription record at Stripe. You can cancel at any time via “Manage subscription”; the subscription then runs to the end of the paid period. On downgrade the club keeps its data, but Premium features lock for new changes.

4. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher. You must provide a real email address. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication with a Google account or email and password — we never see your password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in safe.

You can delete your account yourself at any time under Profile → Delete account. If you own a club, ownership must be transferred first. See the privacy policy for how deletion (anonymisation) works.

5. Acceptable use

DealMeIn is a tool for recording and managing poker tournaments your club plays in person. Poker is recorded here, never transacted: DealMeIn never handles real money. We do not facilitate, broker or settle any movement of money between players — prizes and buy-ins are bookkeeping between friends, handled entirely outside the service.

You agree not to: use the service for real-money gambling; violate applicable law, including the Norwegian Gambling Act (pengespilloven) or equivalents where you live; harass, threaten or defame other users; attempt unauthorised access to other users’ accounts, club data or our infrastructure; scrape or pull data through automated means, except your own data export; reverse-engineer the apps for purposes other than security research disclosed to us; or resell, rebrand or commercially redistribute the service.

6. Your content

You own the content you submit — tournament data, club information, news, profile fields and feedback. By submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process it for the sole purpose of operating DealMeIn for you and the club members you share it with.

We never use your content for advertising, machine-learning training or any purpose outside operating the service.

7. Club ownership

If you create a club, you are the club owner. You may invite members and assign roles. You are responsible for: the integrity of the tournament data your club records; the members you admit and their conduct within the club; and complying with local rules that apply to a recurring poker game — regardless of whether money is handled outside the service.

We are not a party to disputes between club members, but we respond to serious incidents (abuse, harassment, security breaches) reported to dealmein@atop.no.

8. Service availability

The service runs on Vercel (console and API), Supabase (database and file storage, EU) and Firebase Authentication (sign-in). Availability depends on those providers. We make a reasonable effort to keep the service running and to communicate downtime, but make no SLA commitments during the beta.

9. Notifications and email

If you opt in to push notifications, we send messages about tournaments, club news and messages from your clubs. Everything can be turned off per category and per club in the app.

We send transactional email (e.g. confirmations of requests), and clubs can email their members; club email can be turned off per club. Transactional email cannot be opted out of while your account is active. We do not send marketing email.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, neither Atop AS nor its officers, employees or partners are liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, use or goodwill arising out of your use of the service.

Our total cumulative liability is limited to NOK 0 for free use, and to the amount you paid for Premium in the preceding twelve months for paid use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law.

12. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we end the beta. You will get reasonable notice before the beta ends so you can export your data.

13. Store distribution

The player app is distributed through Google Play and, in time, the Apple App Store. The stores’ own terms apply to your use of the app on their platforms and prevail over these terms for the parts that govern store distribution.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be brought before the courts of Norway. The Norwegian text of these terms and the privacy policy is the authoritative version if it conflicts with the English version.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes are communicated in the app or console, and the version number at the top changes. On material changes you will be asked to re-accept before continuing to use the service.
