Deleting your account

You can delete your DealMeIn account yourself, at any time, without asking us. This page explains how, what is actually removed, and what stays.

How to delete your account

In the app or in the console: Profile → Delete account → “Delete my account”.

Deletion happens immediately. You are signed out, and your sign-in is detached from the account.

No longer have the app?

You do not need the app to delete your account. Sign in to the console at club.dealmein.no with the same account and follow the same path: Profile → Delete account.

If you cannot get in at all, email us from the address the account is registered to at support@dealmein.no and we will delete it for you within 30 days.

Do you own a club?

You must transfer ownership to another member first. If you try to delete while you still own an active club, we stop the deletion and tell you — otherwise the club would be left with nobody able to run it.

Transfer ownership from the club settings, or close the club first. Then you can delete your account.

Export your data first

If you want a copy before deleting, take it while you are still signed in: Settings → Export my data. You get a JSON file with your profile, memberships, results and feedback.

After deletion we cannot retrieve this for you.

What gets deleted

The following is removed from your account immediately:

Your email address · your display name · your profile photo · your bio · your sign-in link and which sign-in methods you used · the push tokens for your devices · your notification settings · your privacy settings · any administrator rights.

Your display name is replaced with “Slettet bruker” (deleted user), and the account is marked as anonymised with the time of deletion. If you sign in again later with the same email address you get a completely new, empty profile — the old account is not reconnected.

What stays

The name you played under is stored on the tournament results and league tables from the night they were recorded. Those rows are not touched by deletion.

The reason is that the club's history and points calculation are built on them: if we removed the name, other members would get gaps in their own history, and old league tables would stop adding up correctly.

The audit log of administrator actions is deleted after 365 days regardless.

Want the name removed too?

Ask us at support@dealmein.no, from the address the account was registered to. We do it manually within 30 days.

We do not do it automatically, because it leaves gaps in other people's club history — so it only happens when you explicitly ask.
